The first star system humans reached via jump point. Named for the miner who opened the door.

When Nick Croshaw emerged from his jump in 2157 he arrived at a K-type star system sixty-eight light-years from Sol. The UEE now calls it Croshaw, the planet Croshaw is named for Croshaw, the crater he landed on is named for Croshaw, and, depending on your taste, this is either heartwarming or overkill.

Saisei is the system's largest city, an ecumenopolis (city-planet) built over centuries of colonization. Academic institutions dominate. Croshaw Academy of Space Sciences is the MIT of the UEE and has produced nearly every notable jump-point cartographer of the modern era.
